I inherited an old Replicator that'd been stuck in a box. After updating
...Plus firmware and printing whpthomas's amazing extruder upgrade I started printing. I swap out filament quite a bit and noticed the tell tale 'thunk-thunk-thunk' of a stepstruder trying to push filament through and not getting it done for one reason or another after a bit. So, I made this. After I made this, I found others had made similar things. I was humbled by the cool stuff I found out there.
This one's mine, I have 50ish hours of print time on this set up without a slip or 'thunk-thunk-thunk' once calibrated. I'm sure there are better, more sophisticated, sleeker designs, but, so far, this is working.
Happy printing!

I used what I had laying around for the spring and bolt, see pictures for specifics.
Print out whpthomas's Pin and Base and assemble per his instructions save the spring arm. Oh, to get the left extruder base, just mirror the .stl from his design.
