I tried (and stil trying) to create a working hiddenblade from Assassin's Creed for my cosplay.
I followed the topic 'hiddenblade' now for quite a
...Plus while and I think the design from imdeepainreborn is great! -> youtube.com/watch?v=BFviA8Y_WCk&t=184s
So I took some of his ideas and created this one here :)
It is still in progress but at this point it is working passably! I will try to update it regularly and I will also add more details in future.

-> unfortunately the assembly of the blade casing isn't shown, because the battery of my camera went low an I recognized that to late :/
Either way the assembly of the blade case is the hardest (in my opinion) and i don't have a good workflow for this. It is try and error ;)
I also added parts for a 'button' version. This allows you to activate the machanism with a button (you can still use a string!). Just use these parts:
- middle_part_1_with_button
- cover_with_buttonhole
All in all you need definitely PATIENCE! I hope you are able to get yours working ;)
You will need some extra things to make the hiddenblade work:
- small rubber bands
- paper clip
- 6 screws (M3x18) with nuts
for the assembly:
- super glue
- sand paper
